Yorkshire Wind Orchestra presents “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, a tale of two halves inspired by William Shakespeare and all things English.
This summer concert of music inspired by Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s dream will be performed in the magical space of Left Bank Centre, in the heart of Leeds. Seating will be informal, and all are invited to relax at the bar before and after the performance.

Flute workshop (Left Bank Centre, Leeds)
The concert is preceded by a day-long flute workshop run by the wind orchestra starting at 10am, also held at the Left Bank Centre, Leeds. Join flautists from the Yorkshire Wind Orchestra for a day of flute playing. Later you can participate in an evening concert (optional) alongside the Yorkshire Wind Orchestra.
We’ll be playing a range of music inspired by Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ with an emphasis on developing ensemble-playing skills in a fun and relaxed environment.
Big flutes and piccolos also very welcome.
Who’s it suitable for? Flute players of approximately grade 6 standard and above
Cost: £22 (including entrance to the Yorkshire Wind Orchestra concert even if you choose not to play)
Concert time: 19.30
Participants will need to bring a packed lunch. Drinks will be provided throughout the day.
